Hanami: Cherry Blossom Viewing

4-03-03

Cherry Blossom season is said to be the most sought after season in Japan. People from all walks of life can be found slowly walking along the Kamogawa River and other various temples, shrines, and palaces looking at these pink cherry blossoms. Its very common to bring a bento box to the river side, have some sake, and hangout with your friends underneath these amazing trees. I was awestruck as to how many cherry trees existed in Kyoto – everything is virtually pink, a truly amazing sight!
